Who is Diana Pemberton, the author?

I am an author of warm, every day, slightly odd and sometimes surreal light-hearted stories which, much to my surprise, people relate to and enjoy.

It has taken me 63 Christmases, 2 (now adult) children, 1 miscarriage, 4 dogs, 3 houses, thousands of steps, 16 prime ministers (apparently - seems like more), 24 Liverpool managers but mercifully only 1 husband to get me to where I am now.

That place being a writer of mostly random and sometimes surreal fiction rooted in normal life and the family values we, particularly of a certain age, believe in. That said, one of my books is an autobiography of growing up in the 1960's which to today's youth might sound surreal but in actual fact is completely true.

Examines the fine line we all have between life, death and the possibility of what lies beyond. Punchy, imaginative and real but leaves the reader with a genuine feeling of calm and inner resolve

Cherry on The Perspex Floor

Lovely book - would make an excellent teaching resource. I could imagine reading it out at storytime and having the same beginning to each chapter to signify time to settle down and listen - good way of bringing the group together
